Fort Taber Park sits on the city’s southern peninsula. It’s a 50-acre waterfront park featuring over a mile of ocean frontage.

One of the best things to do in the park is to stop by the historic Fort Taber. It was built in 1857 and 1871 as part of the seacoast defense system.

It is home to a military museum and interpretative signage.
