There’s plenty of history behind Liberty Park in Renton, Washington. In fact, it’s the city’s oldest park facility.
It was acquired in 1914 and was originally called City Park. This 12-acre park was then renamed Liberty Park to commemorate the First World War.
Dogs are allowed on-site, but they must be on a leash not longer than 6 feet.
Pet owners like you also need to make sure you clean up after your pet. Poop bags are not provided, so you need to bring your own.
There are, however, plenty of waste bins in the area where you can dispose of used bags.
Bring enough water and your dog’s bowl as well, since you’re going to do a lot of walking.
Other on-site amenities include a skate park, three lighted tennis courts, swings, and basketball courts.
The park is also home to Giannini’s Stadium Field and Wilcoxen Field.
There are also benches and picnic tables where you can rest before heading home.
Parking is available on-site as well. Check out the park’s website for updates about local events.
